We keep this simple. Your data is used to make the app work — nothing else. We don't sell it, we don't share it with third parties for marketing, and we only hold what we actually need.

02What we collect

To run Location Hub, we store the things the app needs to do its job:

  • Account info — your name, email, and (if you sign in with Google) the Google account identifier.
  • Team info — which team you belong to, your role within it, and who your admin is.
  • Check-in records — the time you pressed check-in or check-out, and the GPS location captured at that moment (see the Terms for why).
  • Device basics — browser or app version, so we can fix bugs that only happen on certain devices.

We don't collect browsing history, contacts, photos, or anything else unrelated to check-ins.

03How it's stored

Your data is stored on reputable cloud infrastructure. It's encrypted on its way to us and encrypted when it's sitting on disk. Access is limited to the people at Green Spark Studio who need it to keep the app running.

Our promise

Your data is stored securely, and it is not shared or sold to any third party — subject to local laws and mandates that may require us to disclose specific information in specific circumstances (for example, a court order). Apart from those narrow legal situations, your data stays with us and your team.

04Sharing

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers, data brokers, or partners for marketing. The only places your data goes are:

  • Your team's admin — the person responsible for reviewing your check-ins, the way a manager would see a timesheet.
  • Service providers we rely on — the cloud hosting and email infrastructure that runs the app. They process data on our behalf, under confidentiality, and only for that purpose.
  • Legal requests — if we receive a valid legal demand and are required to comply, we will. We'll tell you when we're allowed to.

05How we use it

We use your data to run the app, fix problems, and keep it secure. Practically, that means:

  • Signing you in and showing you your own logs.
  • Showing your team's admin the team view.
  • Investigating bugs when something goes wrong.
  • Emailing you about your account or significant service changes.

We don't use your data to train external models, profile you for advertising, or build a picture of you outside of the app.

06Your rights

You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time. Write to locationhub@greensparkstudio.com and we'll help. Depending on where you live, local laws (like GDPR in the EU/UK or CPRA in California) may give you additional rights — and we'll honour those too.

07Retention

We keep your check-in records for as long as your account is active, because the log is the whole point of the app. If you close your account, we remove personal data within a reasonable window, except where we're required to keep something by law.

08Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies — the ones that keep you signed in, remember your theme, and help us spot errors. No advertising trackers. No third-party profiling.

09Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll give you a heads-up in the app or by email.
